IELTS Preparation

Start preparing for IELTS test well in advance before the test date. The IELTS test comprises of four Band Modules namely Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. All these four modules carry the same weightage. Hence give equal importance to all the modules of IELTS in your preparation.
  • The first and foremost thing to do for your IELTS preparation is to buy Cambridge's IELTS material, relevant cassettes, CD-ROMs and books.
  • Reading Section is relatively difficult section of IELTS. Practice the reading exercises given in the book and self-evaluate your score. Try to complete the reading exercises with in the stipulated time. Time management is of essence in IELTS. You can also enhance your reading skills practice by reading good English magazines and newspaper articles.
  • Make your study-plan to set goals for completing the course outline. Do not think that stretching your study time is the only solution to get prepared well for your IELTS exam. Concentrate on your quality time instead of quantity time.
  • If you have ample time before your IELTS exam, identify your weaker points and give importance to those weaker points. Work on your weaker areas concentrate on your strong points to make them stronger.
  • These days, many IELTS resources are available to help you practice well. Become familiar with the exact pattern of the test of the test. You can achieve this by more test practices. If it is possible, attend a short-term course for IELTS preparation, which will help you to compare your mock IELTS score with other candidates.
